New York: The Century Co, 1912. First Edition, First Printing. This is a first edition, first printing with "Published, October, 1912" on the copyright page. This book measures approximately 7.75" x 5", with 385 numbered pages.

This book is in good minus condition. Heavy surface wear and staining to the boards. Minor cloth loss to the spine ends and corners. Rear hinge cracked. Binding slightly cocked. Staining and indentations to the edges of the textblock. One-inch tear at the top of the front endpaper. Old Christmas gift inscription in pen on the front endpaper.

Christopher Bellew leaves his job as a successful San Francisco writer and heads to the gold fields. Taking on the name "Smoke", he leaves his world behind and discovers an exciting new life on the frontier and becomes a force of nature in his own right.

Synopsis
