Very well illustrated book consisting of 1 page of explanatory text, title page with full-page Colour illustration of a Chasseur a Cheval and Full-page Colour Plates illustrating Military Uniforms from 1789 -1889. Captions beneath. Some pages have 2 illustrations to a page. Red cloth cover with large Colour pastedown of Chasseur a cheval officer on front (as on title page), with gilt background. Landscape format, 13 1/4" x 9". 730g. Undated Edition, circa early 20th C. Some edge wear. Front hinge paper broken, long closed tear to ffep and some smaller edge closed edge tears. Illustrations in nice, clean condition, just a few light marginal fionger marks. Large child's inscription on ffep. No other inscriptions.
