Great Britain: Privately Published, 1997. VG. First edition. Not dated, (circa 1997). No d/w, (as published). Hardback bound in black cloth lettered gilt on front cover. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, on page one. Inscription reads, 'To --- Never be envious of other/peoples memories, your/own could very well be/just as exciting./Yours Aye/B Hallas CHX1219/9-12-97'. The author's tribute to the Royal Marines, told in verse. With 'Introduction To Royal Navy Terminology'. Bernard Hallas served in the Marnes during the Second World War on HMS Warspite and the book remembers, and lists, his ten shipmates who were killed in action on May 22 1941 in the Battle of Crete. The book was later published as a paperback by William Sessions Limited in 2002. Bruising to head and tail of spine, with minor rubbing to tail; minor bumping to bottom corner of front cover; else a very good copy of a SCARCE hardback first edition SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.. Presentation Copy Inscribed And Signed. Hardback First Edition. Hardback. Very Good.
