New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Fair in Good dust jacket. 1949. Hardcover. Signed and inscribed by Politi with watercolor additions, and dated Springtime 1954. Illustrated pale green cloth in pictorial dust jacket. Copyright notices from both the publisher and author on the title page. A small newspaper photo of Politi on the free endpaper. A gold Caldecott label to the front pastedown, with the owner name in pencil above. The dust jacket is intact, with chipping to the spine and rear panel, and tape reinforcement to the verso. Publisher's price of $2.00 on the front flap. As the swallows leave for the winter, young Juan prepares to welcome them back to the old California Mission at Capistrano on St. Joseph's Day the next spring. Awarded the 1950 Caldecott Medal. ; [32] pages; Signed by Author .
