About This Item
This is a first edition, stated eighth printing, of Soul on Ice, the brilliant memoir and collection of essays written by the American activist Eldridge Cleaver (1935-1998). At the time of its writing, Cleaver was serving time in Folsom Prison. He would go on to become a highly influential member of the Black Panthers, as well as a Muslim, a Marxist and, finally, a Mormon and member of the Republican Party. This book is banned in some states.
The dust jacket of this book is clean, and unclipped, but there is a lot of wear to the edges. The covers have fading to the top and bottom edges.
The inside of the book is perfect. Clear and clean with tight binding and brilliant white pages.
