(London: Chatto and Windus: 1931) A later issue of the First British Edition in the tan cloth lettered in red (that is, hard covers) pp. xii, 322 and 4 publisher's advertisements including David Garnett's 'Beany-eye' and Margaret Irwin's 'Madame Fears the Dark', both published in 1935. The dust-jacket is lettered and ruled in red and black. Lower edge uncut. Offsetting to free endpapers, otherwise a fine copy in price-clipped dust-jacket which has a reddish smudged area on its spine where a price label or bookseller's label has been removed; there is a tiny amount of chipping to the head of the spine and lower edge of the rear panel of the dust-jacket; otherwise the dust-jacket is fine in the original extra rice-paper dust-jacket which is chipped and discoloured on its spine.
