About This Item
[London : George Virtue, 1836]. An attractive antique print - distant mountains - shepherds, sheep and dog on a promontory - a steamship makes its way through the sound to Oban. Engraved by James Harfield Kernot (1802-1858) from an original study by Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London : 1835-1838). Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 131 x 176mm (approx. 5-1/8" x 6-7/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
