Vols.I-VII contain a chronological table of events and various appendices, including extracts from official correspondence, casualties, deaths from disease, biographical notes of eminent persons engaged in the war, and a list of recipients of the Victoria Cross. Vol. VII has a table showing composition and distribution of columns operating in various sectors from Feb. 1901. The volumes are illustrated throughout with folding (and other) maps, photographs and drawings, including numerous colour plates. An attractive and informative work." - Hackett, p. 80 .
