Charlottesville: University Press of Virginia, 1978. (xii), 283 pages. This is a comprehensive history of Southampton County that was commissioned by the Southampton County Historical Society. The author was Thomas Parramore (1932-2004), a professor of history at Meredith College who published a number of books on Virginia and North Carolina history. The book is out-of-print and has become quite scarce. It is in very good+ condition: clean and tight. The dust jacket is about very good: clean and free of tears and creases, with a couple of small and faint water stains.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
