G. P. Putnam's & Sons, 1913. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No jacket. 96 illus from photographs plus fold out map. Vintage Hardcover with fold-out map intact, First Edition. 1913. G. P. Putnam's & Sons. 425 pages plus 4 pages of ads for other travel books. Very Good, No DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to dark Blue cloth boards with gilt titles and accents - corners sharp with a touch of wear to the tips. Previous owner signatures on 2nd FEP. Only flaws are two pages that have been tape-repaired about 80 years ago and as a result the tape has yellowed and is a bit brittle. The first repair is very small (1/2") and is to the back and bottom edge of the frontispiece. The second one is to the illustrated page between 128 and 130, there are two B&W photos on this page and repair is at a diagonal across both photos. Please. (See photos to come) 20 chapters, 3 appendices and 95 B&W illustrations of which one is a fold-out map at the rear of the book after the Appendix C. A very handsome First Edition complete with the fold-out map. LOC SSS-06
