About This Item
First edition hardcover, with dust jacket, published by Macmillan, 1961. William Breyfogle wrote more than 20 short stories that appeared in magazines such as 'Saturday Evening Post', 'Harper's', and 'Natural History. This is a book of personal essays on Natural History, with a focus on the area where he grew up in Ontario. 174 pages, 5-3/4" X 8-1/2", illustrated by William J. Schaldach. The dust jacket is price clipped at both the top and bottom corners of the front flap - odd since the price of $3.75 is still listed on the front flap. Some sun tanning to the spine panel of the jacket. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Some dots of edge wear to the cover boards. Some age tanning dots to the top edge of the text block. Not a library discard. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
