New York: Random House, 1941. "Second printing before publication" i.e. second impression. 8vo, pp. [282]. Grey cloth, lettered and decorated in blue. Top edge blue. Gentle bruising to extremities. POI to ffep, marginal nicking to pp.127-130, else, clean, tight and bright. In the rather fabulous midnight blue and gilt illustrated dust jacket (first state?): a little rubbed, edgewear, nicking to extremities. Near fine/ very good. Random House Mystery Stories
