NY: Random House; (1952). Special Edition . Hardcover. Near fine in a very good dust jacket. Small owner's stamp on endpapers; otherwise a fresh, crisp copy. The jacket has small chips at spine ends, and a little wear at edges. "Special Edition" stated on the copyright page. The second front endpaper states: "This special edition was printed exclusively for Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. to commemorate the christening of their floating drilling vessel the Spindletop. The vessel was christened on February 2, 1968, at Orange, Texas, by Mrs. W. H. Helmerich." At the bottom of the front panel of the jacket is printed: "Christening Edition February 2, 1968".
