Frontispiece with 8 compartments of engravings showing: jumping, fishing, racing, shooting, archery, cockfighting, (unidentifiable sport) and boxing. Old, tree calf, half of black spine label chipped away, internals darkened throughout with obvious foxing. Solid binding. An unsophisticated version of the first American edition, which, though not uncommon in university collections, is not as commonly seen in trade as its British copies.
