Illustrated by Phiz [title page]. -- Hardcover, dark green with elaborate gilt spine and front-cover decoration, all-edges-gilt, discreet vintage seller label. Condition: good (spine color change but still bright; hinge cracked; one plate foxed, others and some pages more lightly; previous seller pencilled notes). -- Overall, an attractive book by this 19th century author born in Dublin; this novel includes episode of cholera, one engraving shows a coffin carried down a hill.
