Limited edition, 1 of 1,000 copies.. Jacket spine is somewhat sunned; very little wear overall. In Brodart mylar for preservation. Text is clean. 'Before there were any stamps . . . before the first 'British Columbia and Vancouver's Island' stamps were issued in 1860 . . . and long before the railway crossed the Rockies, the people of these colonies were having to send parcels and letters somehow to Britain, Eastern Canada, to the United States and in fact . . . to the rest of the world.
