London: Macmillan & Co. LTD, 1940. Early Reprint. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. [6], vii, [3], 3-183, [1] pp. Red cloth with gold lettering on the spine. Price of 7s 6d net on the front flap of the dust jacket. Has the date 1940 on its title page, put the copyright page merely states "Copyright" and does not have a first edition statement nor does it follow any of Macmillan's usual first edition designation practices. A play that confronts the philosophies of fascism and communism, with a large focus on communism and its ideals of equality and work and leisure for all. The top textblock toned; jacket's spine panel is toned with a few damp spots.
