New York: The Macmillan Company, 1927. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. Presentation copy, inscribed on the front flyleaf by Jean Starr Untermeyer to her husband, the poet Louis Untermeyer: "To Louis- No ascent is too steep if I shall find him on the summit, Jean, 1928." The pair married in 1906 and divorced in 1926, but reunited shortly after the suicide of their son Richard, to whom this volume is dedicated. Remarried in 1929, they were divorced again the following year. Octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with gilt titles. Light wear to the corners and tips; else near fine.
