Description: This work was originally published in 1882, followed in 1904 by a new edition with illustrations. This reprint edition is part of Macmillan's American Sportsman's Library series. The following is from Heller's American Hunting and Fishing Books (number 397): ''The classic work on the subject with 34 chapters on all the aspects of still-hunting for deer and their kin. Reprint4ed many times and with the later editions containing 27 illustrations by Carl Rungius and the author.'' Illustrations are all in black and white plates.
