The first paragraph of the preface reads 'This is a story for boys who want to know of the thrills and joys of Aviation. It is written by a war flyer who was a pilot with a squadron at the front and who there learned to know hew he and other young men reacted to those dangerous moments when lightning-quick decisions were necessary'. This 160 page hardback book has many color and black and white illustrations, shows edge and corner wear, separation, has several tears and some chunks of paper missing from pages, but as far as I can tell all text is present. Some of the pictures have been traced over using carbon paper, which has left marks on the pages, and there are some ink marks on the front decorated ep. But even with all its defects it is an interesting and appealing book. NOT AN EX-LIB!. Hard Cover. Fair at Best/No Jacket. Illus. by Knight, Clayton.
