Volume housed in pink paper-covered slipcase. --- With a few white specks to covers, a hint of sunning to spine, else volume is in excellent shape: clean, unmarked and bright. Slipcase with full-length tear along one joint and light soiling, but still able to protect the book.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; xiv, (2), 366 pages .

Sandglass flyer laid in (Norwalk, no number). --- With a little sun-caused lightening to spine, else volume is in excellent shape: clean, unmarked and bright. Slipcase with noticeable sunning but is otherwise undamaged.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; xiv, 366 pages .

Corners are sharp. No ownership or other marks. Publisher's Sandglass pamphlet laid in. Slipcase is near fine. Structurally sound. There is a thin line of sunning along open edges and the top is sunned as well as 1/2 inch long surface scuff along a rear edge. ; Drawings; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 366 pages .

This pretty printing of O. Henry's famous short stories were chosen and introduced by Harry Hansen. Original lavender publisher's covers with gilt spine lettering encased in a lavender-colored slipcase. The Sandglass 4 page pamphlet is loosely laid in. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The slipcase is also in nice condition with no tears or splits (there is a little sunning to the edges). The Heritage Press imprint indicates that it was published in 1965; however, the Norwalk place of publication means that it was printed sometime between 1976 and 1983.
