About This Item
From front DJ flap: "After Guadalcanal, in the summer of 1942, the Pacific War that had been moving south toward Samoa and Australia turned north toward Japan. Attention was now focused on the islands of the Central Pacific, especially the Gilberts and Marshalls. Battle narrative of the invasion of Tarawa, Makin Island and Betio in November 1943.
Book Condition: Very Good. Blue covers show some wear to spine edges and corners. I did find a few pages with soft creases and at least one with a hard corner crease. Pages are clean and tight.
Dust Jacket Condition: Good-. Color is good on front and back, spine appears to have some fading of the red title. Edges have some wear, but corners and spine have chips and tears. Now in Brodart protective cover.
Please see photos.
162 pages including Index.
