Original green pictorial wrappers, the cover a picture of Babar at an easel with his tutor, doing math problems. A story derived from the first of the Babar books. Babar is living in Paris with his friend the old lady, and meets his cousins, Arthur & Celeste, whom he introduces to clothes and French society, but returns to Africa with them, becoming king and marrying Celeste. No. 876 printed on back cover. One slight corner bend otherwise very good condition.
