Orig. published in 1920, reissued posthumously by Lofting's wife in 1948, this is the 54th printing, in with the Introduction to the Tenth Printing by Sir Hugh Walpole, in 172 pages, with the author's original frontispiece & 32 other black-and-white illustrations & full-page, lightly colored glossy plates throughout the text. Hardcover small 8vo (5" x 7.75") has red cloth-covered boards with a bright white pictorial paper pastedown to front, which is flawless! Book itself is Near Fine, with very slight rubbing to both ends of spine; corners very mildly bumped. Synopsis
