Chicago: M. A. Donohue & Company; (1919). First Thus . Hardcover. A title in the publisher's Peter Rabbit Series (9 titles listed on recto of half title page; colored endpapers show scenes from various fairy tales), very good- in the original cloth boards. There are eight small holes along the length of the red cloth spine, the largest being slightly larger than the eraser on a No. 2 pencil. Internal pages have some sporadic soiling; signatures are a little separated at the middle of the book. Color illustration covers entire front board (Sambo with a green umbrella startled by a tiger), with just slight wear at edges. 24 full page color illustrations, including frontispiece. No names or other markings in book.
