First ed., fourth impression 1947; 48 p., immaculate and unmarked anywhere; lavishly illustrated "With 8 Plaes in Colour and 19 illustrations in Black & White." The full-page, full-color plates are lovely landscapes suitable for framing, and b&w ill. are often reproductions of portraits of such interesting Scots as Robert Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson, Bonnie Prince Charlie, Sir Walter Scot with his family, etc. Full-page map. Binding tight and blue and white thistle motif boards are unfaded and unbumped, perfectly protected by matching d.j., itself with little wear--just a bit of age-toning and slight discoloration on small area of front panel.
