About This Item
Berlin, Germany: World-Wide Productions, 1955 Inscription to previous owner from the author on half-title page, dated 1964. Steamy love story set in Hollywood. Later printing. Pages are very browned, old prices written in ink on dust jacket flap and first endpaper. Dust jacket is rubbed and edgeworn. The reverse of the jacket features an interesting ad for two of Burke's other books - "Fraulein Lili Marlene" - a collection of occupation stories, and "Three Day Pass - To Kill" -- A daring occupation novel about love, frauleins and murder. The ad urges soldiers to send home a "lifetime souvenir of your tour of duty in Europe" and shows a small child grinning happily as she reads one of the books.
