A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked cream cloth boards, a trace of foxing to page edges and tiny bump to upper front corner. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or creased with small tear to upper front edge and slight rubbing to corners. 232pp. A biographical account of the author's time with the S.A.W.A.S (the South African Auxiliary Services) in South Africa and in Italy. Their function was to provide help for visiting troops. The author was a close friend of General Smuts. Illustrated. Extremely scarce in the UK.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (+)/Very Good. 8.5 x 5.5 inches.
