Chiefly a collection of literary essays and reminiscences, with a couple of allegorical tales, this little-known book makes interesting reading. James Branch Cabell (1879-1958) was a Virginia born author of fantasy fiction and belles lettres, who enjoyed great popularity in the 1920's.
