New York: The Century Co., 1902. Fourth Edition. Third Printing Very good+ in its original blind-embossed, tan cloth covered boards with a brown leather title label stamped in gilt text. The upper edge of the text block is gilt. A small octavo of 7 1/2 by 5 inches with with light rubbing to the cloth to the corners of the spine and tips of the boards. There is a prior owner's name on the first free end page and a three line notation at the upper edge of the title page. There is light foxing to the margins of the frontispiece with offsetting to the title page. Without a dust jacket. 332 pages of text. Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of Roosevelt from a black and white photograph which is protected with a tissue. (Cole & Vail, A20f)
