Later black cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, 8vo. Department of Ichthyology, Rhodes University Occasional Papers, no. 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18. The subtitle of each part is as follows: no. 1: Naked Thoracic Areas; no. 2: The identity of Scomber malabaricus, Boch-Schneider, 1801; no. 3: The genus Trachinotus Lacepede, in the western Indian Ocean; no. 4: The identity of Scomber sansun Forsskal, 1775; no. 5: The genus Chorinemus Cuvier, 1831 in the western Indian Ocean; no. 6: Key to the western Indian Ocean species of the genus Carangoides Bleeker, 1851, with a description of Carangoides nitidus Smith (with plates 30, 31, and 44). No ownership marks and no signs of use. This work is very rare especially complete in all six parts.
