London: Virtue and Company, no date [1877]. No edition stated, but presumed first edition (hardback). 4to (34cm by 26cm), xii, 128pp. 40 plates, 116 text figures. Original blue cloth, gilt titling to the spine, gilt design to the front board, all edges gilt. Please note that the gutta percha in this copy has perished, and the contents are loose in the binding. There are tears to the half-title and title pages, but the contents are clean and complete. Suitable as a working, reference or binding copy.
