About This Item
London: J. Rolls book Co. Ltd, 1945. viii, 123p., several photoportraits, first English-language edition textured blue cloth boards titled black in plain printed dj, 7x5 inches. Jacket has edgewear and visible tape repairs, paperstock mildly age-toned, a pretty good copy. By 'forgery' the author appears to mean comprehensive new techniques of political cooptation and consolidation of foreign dominance by less-obtrusive power and newly persuasive simulacrums of legitimacy; here worked upon Poland. "The modern technique of conquest was applied for the first time when two new republics, Tuva and Outer Mongolia, were carved out of Chinese territrory on the border of the U.S.S.R." --see p. vi.
