Bruce. After a hundred years of crude experiment in underwater propulsion, the submarine in 1875 was mated with the self-propelled torpedo and in WWI emerged as an offensive weapon capable of exerting a major influence on naval and economic warfare. Tan boards with gold lettering has some wear at edges, rubbed. Dust jacket has some wear at edges, some creases, rubbed. .
