About This Item
[Np], March 1984.. Three leaves, quarto. Original typescript, heavily revised in type, ink and pencil. Unsigned. Very good in sleeves in labeled term paper binder. Successive, extensively revised typescripts of a brief anecdote about his meeting with Neville Mariner and discussion with him about Mozart's letters, functioning as diaries. The first and third leaves present the most substantial drafts of the text, whereas the second leaf includes two heavily revised forms of the first paragraph. There is a curious fragmented echo of some points here in Dawson's short story, "Dark Blue," collected in WILL SHE UNDERSTAND (1988).
