This time Spenser is asked to investigate Susan Silverman's ex-husband, who has shown up after years of absence, broke and fighting a sexual harassment lawsuit. Spenser finds more sex abused women, crooked fundraising, organized crime and murder. First edition, first Berkley printing (as stated with complete numberline). About 4 x 6 3/4 inches, 306 pages in pictorial wrappers showing a brightly-colored court jester juggling the letters "D" "I" "E" against black background. Back cover shows author in leather jacket and ball cap. A slight spine lean, and light reading creases, o/w wrappers and text show very minimal surface and edgewear. No tears, no chipping. Clean and unmarked. A collectable copy.
