Synopsis
Suddenly, Last Summer is a one-act play by Tennessee Williams. This bleak play features Catharine Holly, a young woman who seems to go insane after the death of her cousin Sebastian. Sebastian's mother, Violet Venable, tries to hide the truth about her son and threatens to lobotomize Catharine. Finally, after receiving a truth serum , Catharine is able to give an honest tale about the death of her cousin.
