About This Item

New York: Random House, 1973. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. From the great American playwright, a 1st/1st Random House copy of "The Sunshine Boys." One honey of a book for the Broadway collector or Neil Simon fan. The comedy opened on Broadway's Broadhurst Theater on December 20, 1972 starring Jack Albertson and Sam Levine and directed by Alan Arkin. One year later the duo was succeeded by Lou Jacobi and Jack Gilford. Adapted for film; 1) Directed by Herbert Ross in 1975 with Walter Matthau and George Burns (Oscar for Best Supporting Actor), 2) TV movie with Woody Allen and Peter Falk. Condition (see photos at our online bookstores). Overall, in VG/VG condition, especially for an ex-library book. The HB retains its bright orange yellow boards and black spine cloth with bright gold lettering. Bumps are present on all four corners. There are minor lines of residual but dried glue on the inside boards that were used to hold the DJ mylar cover to the book. The following has been removed: inside and outside Dewey Decimal system numbers or tags, inside pocket card holder. Bren-Books specializes in 1st Editions of Books into Film, Play and TV
