A novel of a female investigative journalist who, intrigued by a psychologist's claim that paranormal phenomena exist, joins a scientific experiment to 'create' a ghost which goes to plan and confirms her theory that ghosts are created by the people who see them. But several inexplicable and disturbing events happen, forcing her to suspect that one of the experimenter's ghost has developed a life of it's own and is beyond control and when members of the group try and end the experiment and destroy the ghost, members of the group start dying mysteriously.
