New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1940. 396pp. Blue cloth boards, gilt titles on spine, gilt medical symbol on front board. Binding tight, spine straight, corners solid. Pages age toned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Signed by Finney on FFEP. Several articles related to Finney's life and career laid or tipped in. Letter from Finney dated December 4, 1940 to Miss Elizabeth Thomas of Scranton, PA tipped in on rear paste down. Finney thanks her for her letter praising the book. Finney signs letter in closing. Finney was an American soldier who served as a Brigadier General in World War I. He was also the first President of the American College of Surgeons.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo.

The Chatham Bookseller began in 1968, and, in 1970, opened a store at its present location in Madison, NJ. The store contains over 10,000 books in over 80 different subjects, and favors good used books and good literature (both hardcover and paperback) over popular books and bestsellers. Our Internet business began in 2001. Upon visiting the store, we can show and sell individual online titles upon request. Store hours are 10:00-5:30 (Tues.-Sat.) and 11:00-4:00 (Sun.). The business is run by Richard Chalfin.
