Small stain on each of the boards. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. Clean, tight text block with only a small stain to long outer edge and some light wear to some places on the outer edges. In dust jacket, price clipped. The jacket has some light wear and yellowing to outer edges, else is very nice. A lovely copy. very good The 7th book in the Aubreyэaturin series of novels, written by O'Brian, a celebrated English Author. The novels are set in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars and centred on the friendship of English naval captain Jack Aubrey and the Irishуatalan physician Stephen Maturin. The 20-novel series is known for its well-researched and highly detailed portrayal of early 19th-century life, as well as its authentic and evocative language. 1980
