INSCRIBED by the author on the front end sheet: "To Walter Rideout- affectionately- James Dickey." Short essays about poets and poetry. Rideout was a Lowell scholar, commentator on proletarian literature, and professor at the UW-Madison when Dickey was a visiting scholar. Grey hardcover, red titling. Slightly cocked spine; base of spine bumped. Jacket spine & edges tanned; light edgwear, short tear; some tanning to endsheets. Text clean; 120 pages.. Inscribed. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 5½" by 8½".
