Vol I of the newly formed Society 1848. The list of members and associates numbered only 203, consequently the print run even allowing for copies reserved for future members, associates and for sale to the public at 10s. is likely to have been very small and explains why copies of the eraly volumes are difficult to find. Good (Book- A little general shelf wear and soiling to cloth, Heavy foxing to plates which detracts, glue to back strip has failed resulting in signatures being strained in the binding but sewing holding, crack to rear end paper.
