Text block edges and title page have a sprinkling of foxing. Except for the author's inscription, the inside pages are clean and unmarked. Includes The Life and Times of Peter Sweeney and Who's Who in the Diary by Susan Warren. The story of the first lockmaster at Jones Falls on the Rideau Canal. Sweeney served there from 1832 to 1872, and this diary spans 1839 to 1850. Inscribed to previous owner's on the title page by Susan Warren. .
