About This Item

First Edition/First Printing; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. SIGNED by the author to the title page. An outstanding copy of this early work of historical fiction by the "Grand Dame of Science Fiction and Fantasy"; this novel based during World War II in multiple settings including Holland, Java, and Australia. This copy is in near fine condition with a square, tight binding, sharp black lettering over red boards, and clean pages throughout free from markings; the book shows light rubbing to the board edges and a mild foxing to the page edges, else fine. Housed in a clean and bright very good dust jacket that shows moderate rubbing and chipping to the spine ends, edges, and corners, some light creasing to the folds, and a previous bookstore's price sticker to the rear flap. Overall, a highly presentable and collectible copy; scarce in this condition and signed by Ms. Norton. Not remaindered, not price clipped ($2.00 intact), not ex-library; in a fresh Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.
