The Australasian Book Society, Sydney, 1966. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair/Good. Illustrator: Frank Beck  Cover Art. author's note, glossary of slang. Within the book there are several black and white illustrations. Gray coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Corners of book are bumped and bottom edge of the book is also worn. The head and the heels spine are bumped and the top edge of the paper has dust marks. Illustrated dustwrapper, by Frank Beck, with gray and yellow coloured background and black & white coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. The corners of the dustwrapper are rubbed and bumped and there is chipping to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. There is also a puncture mark on top spine gutter and the front panel and back panels have grubby marks. There are some faint foxing marks along the top of the dustwrapper on the verso. A novel of the depression in Australia, where the protagonists take to the road in a landau [ old fashion horse and carriage ]. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. VIII, 160 pages,.
