Illustrated with ink drawings and decorated endpapers by Margaret Ayer. Light olive cloth boards with dark green woman-under-tree design stamped to front. Dark green title to spine. Light rubbing to top/bottom of spine. Ever-so-slightly warped boards. Two small stain on back board. Unmarked interior. U.S. Victory Waste Paper Campaign promotion to rear flap of dustjacket. Rubbing to dustjacket edges, with a few creases to bottom edge. Small chips to top/bottom of dustjacket spine. Dampstain and light wrinkling to back of dustjacket.
