Original blue cloth with bright gilt title on the spine, very slight edge wear. Sometimes still referred to as the best book ever published on Lebanon and Syria. Dustjacket has a chip out of it at the top of the spine, but is NOT price clipped. Now protected in a clear mylar sleeve. Includes index, an appendix on travel in Syria (not valid in these troubled times) and a bibliography by chapter..
