Montreal, Toronto and London: George N. Tackabury, 1875. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall. Gilt half-leather over gilt decorative stamped brown cloth hardcovers, in very neat and sound condition. Original marbled endpapers with cloth inner hinges. Professionally and very handsomely rebacked in brown calf with matching corners, with new gilt maroon spine label, and some cloth restoration to edges of covers. First and last leaves have some restoration to edges. Light rubbing, staining and bumping to original cloth covers. Some mild toning internally, with a few short closed tears to margins, not affecting any print. Otherwise a clean, tight and unmarked book. Really a clean and attractive copy. Illustrated title-page; foliated coloured maps. Extensive listings relating to post offices, railroads, steamships and other transportation facilities in operation. Also extensive business and subscriber advertisements at rear. A spectacular repository of post-Confederation Canadiana..
