"Tahirih's poetry, astonishing and beautiful, stands as a monument to this remarkable 19th-century Iranian woman." The translator and editor of this book, Amin Banani, provides an introduction that discusses Tahirih in the context of the literary history of Persia. English poems by Jascha Kessler and Anthony A Lee. Frontispiece. Extensive notes. 147 pp. Studies in the Babi and Baha'i Religions, Volume 17.
